red wine of summer.

While I love sangria - it can be time consuming to make and sometimes a simpler wine cocktail helps me relax after a day at the beach!  Tinto de Verano, literally, red wine of summer, is a Spanish wine cocktail - a sibling to the sangria.  Best part about this recipe is that I have used it when I find my Trader Joe's $7 wine is not exactly the best good old TJ's has to offer.  Lemons and sparkling lemon water mask any cheap wine sins!

Fill wine glass halfway with red wine.  Add a few ice cubes.  Top with lemon sparkling water and a couple lemon wedges.
