holiday vacation idea: MOCA

Last week, Angela ( A Los Angeles Aesthetic) and I went to the opening of Suprasensorial: Experiments in Light, Color and Space at MOCA.  The exhibition is small but worthy of a visit - especially during rainy days during holiday vacation.  The works are very sensory and in some cases tactile as well.  My favorite is this Soto piece....
One of the exhibition highlights is the swimming pool installation by Hélio Oiticica and Neville D'Almeida (Cosmococa-Programa in Progress, CC4 Nocagions, 1973).  MOCA invites viewers to enter the pool - heightening the diminished gap between viewer and artwork prevalent throughout the exhibition.

Angela got a great snap of the Fontana installation....
Through February 27th.  For more information, visit MoCA.org
