Finally feeling like I am back home after a blissful time in Germany - what better way to spend the holiday weekend than with friends, standing over a BBQ, brunching and hanging out in downtown LA. I went to a couple of my favorite downtown spots: Bottega Louie for the best brunch and tempting desserts, the Bradbury Building for a quiet historic landmark and Central Market for icy horchata and fruit. It might not be a Bavarian Gothic cathedral but at least it is home....
